Yes, I did a valve adjustment as well as a cam chain adjustment. I re-adjusted the pilot screw and found the setting was fairly close (1 3/4). After following the XR100 manual instructions, my new setting is 1 1/2 out. Upon changing jets, I verified my pilot jet and seems the prior owner did install a #38 jet.
This carburetor jet size chart shows you how effective each jet is at specific throttle levels. A Pilot jet is effective at idle speed up to 1/4 throttle(low-range). A needle jet is effective from 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle(mid-range). A main jet is effective from 3/4 throttle up to wide open throttle(top-end).

I have took the carb off to clean the jets and i noted the sizes the main is a 195 and pilot is a 55s whatever that means, i dont know alot about carbs or jets im still trying to learn so ive been told i need to up the jet sizes both the main and pilot but i dont know what factory size is or should be on bike i have a 2004 Honda vtx 1300C with
